Two very different subjects — a product shot and a dynamic sports action photo — are cleanly isolated from their original backgrounds for versatile, ready-to-use imagery.
ABOUT THE WORK
This project demonstrates clipping path expertise applied to two distinct challenges. The first is a straightforward product isolation: ski goggles originally photographed resting on a display stand are extracted and placed on a clean white background, ideal for e-commerce use. The second is a far more complex sports action photo — a basketball player captured mid-drive on the court, surrounded by a crowded arena background, other players, and dynamic motion. The player and basketball were meticulously traced and separated from the entire game environment, resulting in an isolated action figure ready for graphic design, poster, or digital media use.
The goggles required careful handling of the mirrored lens reflections and translucent foam padding to avoid halos along the edges. The basketball player presented a significantly greater challenge: fine, wispy hair strands from the player's bun, motion blur around the legs and sneakers, and overlapping elements like the flying jersey fabric and the ball itself all needed precise, hair-level masking to separate the subject from a visually busy, high-contrast background without losing natural edge detail.
Both subjects were successfully isolated with clean, natural edges on pure white backgrounds. The goggles are now catalog-ready for product listings, while the basketball player stands as a crisp, dynamic cutout suitable for sports graphics, team promotional materials, or composite designs — showcasing versatility in handling both simple product shapes and complex, motion-heavy human subjects.
